A2 Hosting (Now Hosting.com) — Full Review 2026
Updated: May 2026 | Published: September 2023
If you’ve been around the web hosting world for a while, you’ll know A2 Hosting. They built a reputation on raw speed — turbo servers, SSD storage, and a “Guru Crew” support team that actually knew what they were doing.
In 2025, A2 Hosting rebranded to hosting.com. The same company, same infrastructure, same team — just a new name and a refreshed platform.
So in 2026, is hosting.com (formerly A2 Hosting) still worth your money? I’ve been using them for years. Here’s my honest take.
Hosting.com Plans & Pricing (2026)
They offer four shared hosting tiers:
| Plan | Best For | Websites | Key Feature |
|---|---|---|---|
| Startup | 1 site, beginners | 1 | 10GB NVMe storage |
| Drive | Small businesses | Unlimited | Unlimited NVMe + backups |
| Turbo Boost | Growing sites | Unlimited | Turbo (up to 20x faster) |
| Turbo Max | High-traffic, WooCommerce | Unlimited | Turbo + dedicated IP |
Prices vary by term length. The longer you commit, the bigger the discount. All plans include free SSL, free site migration, and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
What I Like
🚀 Speed is genuinely excellent
The Turbo plans use LiteSpeed caching with NVMe drives. In my tests, pages loaded under 400ms — comfortably faster than HostGator and Bluehost on similar plans. If speed matters for your SEO (and it does), this is a real advantage.
👨💻 Guru Crew support
Support is 24/7 via live chat and tickets. In my experience, they actually solve problems rather than reading from a script. Response times are usually under 2 minutes for live chat.
🔄 Free migrations
They’ll move your existing site over for free. No downtime, no hassle. I’ve used this twice — both times smooth.
🔒 Solid security
Free SSL on all plans, DDoS protection, brute force defence, and automated malware scanning. You don’t need to pay extra for security add-ons.
What Could Be Better
💰 Renewal prices jump
Like most hosts, the introductory price is low and renewal is higher. The Startup plan intro price is cheap, but expect £7-10/month on renewal. Worth it for the speed, but budget accordingly.
📞 No phone support
Support is chat/ticket only. The chat is excellent, but if you prefer speaking to someone on the phone, you won’t find it here.
Who Is Hosting.com For?
Perfect for: Bloggers, small business owners, and anyone who cares about site speed. If you’re building an affiliate site or content site (like I am), the Turbo plans are ideal.
Not ideal for: Absolute beginners who want phone support, or anyone on a tight budget who doesn’t care about speed.
Verdict: 4.5/5
Hosting.com (A2 Hosting) remains one of the best shared hosting options in 2026. The rebrand hasn’t changed what made them great — fast servers, solid support, fair pricing.
Is it the absolute cheapest? No. But if you value speed and support over saving a couple of quid a month, it’s hard to beat.
